Intensive Therapeutics has developed a two-hour group for children ages 2 to 3 years old, currently receiving early intervention services.

Say and Play Together is run by an occupational therapist AND a speech language pathologist who collaborate to address individual goals within the context of a group. Toddlers will develop expressive, receptive, and pragmatic (social) language while moving, singing and participating in play based activities. Play and Say Together addresses gross motor, fine motor, self-help (dressing, eating, etc.) skills as well as sensory processing abilities in preparation for pre-school.

Who would benefit?

Children who exhibit the following:

• Sensory dysfunction
• Low muscle tone
• Motor planning problem
• Receptive language delays
• Motor speech disorders (apraxia, dysarthria)
• Difficulty communicating needs, wants and ideas
• Difficulty socializing – poor awareness of others
• Picky eating behavior
• Underdeveloped play skill
